Why V6 and not V8?

I don't know why people are so hateful to Hongqi. Only because it is a chinese car? I like its look. Though, I don't understand... they could have built it with a V8, not a turbo V6.

I don't have a problem with it being a Chinese car. My issue is that it obviously copies the designs of many other cars.

yeah some criticism may stem from bias, but performance matters too. Would a V8 have made it more appealing?
